I Am Going To New Zealand
Erin and I are officially going to New Zealand. We drove down to the travel agent we’d been talking to on Monday and handed over a grand total of $288 each – return! That’s with Air New Zealand and includes both carry-on and checked luggage of 7kg and 23kg respectively. That’s one of the cheapest flights I’ve ever seen advertised to New Zealand.
This will be my first overseas trip since 2002, when I returned to Australia after living in the UK for nearly six years. It goes without saying that I am very, very excited, so pretty much all I can think about right now is travel, travel, travel.
We leave on March 15th (just over a month away!) and get back on April 3rd…
More updates to come!
This Post Was Written On My iPad
So, I am now the proud owner of an iPad 2. And I quite like it. Its great just having the extra screen real estate to read things properly and also to navigate certain apps (eg Reeder) whilst also being able to read the article I’m on. Things like the Mail app and the Calendar app also benefit tremendously when you have so much more room to work with.
Anyway, this iPad will be used mostly for University work and for reading. I’m currently in the process of trying to find eBook versions of all my prescribed texts, and download my regular readings to my iPad so I can read them, work on them and annotate them on the go, in tutorials and in my free time, etc.
A more in depth review will be forthcoming after I have had a few weeks to really try it out and see how it goes in practice at uni.
Hello World
Hi, my name is Darcy, and this is my blog.
This blog is to chronicle my passions – predominantly travel and photography – and my life in general, included every little thing that pops into my head, that I deem blog-worthy. At certain times this blog may lean more towards travel journal or photo stream, but at all times it will be a record of what’s going on in my life.
The ultimate goal of this blog is to chronicle my life up until I go on my (long time coming) round the world trip, and then as record of the trip itself – in words, photographs and video.
If you’re interested, please follow along for the ride. I look forward to filling this blog with many, many interesting posts to come!
